The 25 Best Time Management Tools and Techniques
Today I'm reviewing "The 25 Best Time Management Tools and Techniques" guide. If you have ever wondered what it would be like living life to the full then putting the principles found in this book into action can actually help you to find out.
If living life to the full means to you having move time, achieving higher levels of success, being more productive, achieving your goals and just generally putting more life into your days then using a proper time management system is crucial.
The 25 Best Time Management Tools and Techniques guide reveals the importance of time management which is also one of the fundamental keys to achieving success. My interpretation is very simple: if you had a twin (all being equal, up bringing, schooling, education etc) and one of you had no knowledge of these principles whilst the other started to put them into practice.
The twin that acted on the time management principles included in this book would be far more likely to achieve greater levels of success in his / her career and (to some degree) in their general day to day life than the other twin.
The authors Pamela Dodd & Doug Sundheim certainly put together a concise, easy to read, practical, uncluttered and well laid out guide. The 25 Best Time Management Tools and Techniques is based on their study and research which included the devouring of all the top time management books, many hundreds of dollars, numerous amounts of time and their blood sweet and tears.
The end result is a product which has helped numerous amounts of people to achieve higher levels of success in their endeavours. The five main sections of the book cover topics such as
- Focusing
- Planning
- Organisation
- Taking Action
- V-Learning.
Then each section is then broken down into bite size sections. Once you get started reading you will find it difficult to stop. The book is sprinkled with quotes from some the most respected time management experts on the planet.
The Bad: This book is based on the top twenty time management books and expert training techniques. All the information (which would otherwise consist of several thousand pages) has been condensed into a 95 page guide book. The chances are that at some stage you may require additional time management books to further your studying.
The Good: There is more than enough information held in its 95 pages to help anyone achieve a healthy level of success. My analogy is of a large phone directory Vs the contact list held on your phone.
For normal day to day life the smaller contact list held on your phone will be far more useful than a gazillion page phone directory, but from time to time you may need to use a phone directory to find information not held in your phone list.
I gave this "The 25 Best Time Management Tools and Techniques" guide four out of five as it is excellent value for money at $19.00 (USD). It's aimed at all levels of readers and for some the benefits could be immediate.
